Economically the city is very strong and is considered as the backbone of Thailand's economy. The city itself in the world is regarded as a very strong economy. Most of the financial institutions of Thailand have their headquarters and financial assets in Bangkok which are equal to billions of dollars.

In the city there are number of temples, and mosques. As majority of population of Bangkok is Buddhist so there are around 400 Buddha temples in all of Bangkok. Also there are 2 temples of Hindus and 1 religious gurudwara for Sikhs. For public entertainment there are a number of beautiful parks and places in Bangkok. Also the city is rich in greenery and natural beauty and the people of Bangkok have utilized this natural greenery in the construction of the parks. The most famous park in Bangkok is the "Lumphini Park". It is commonly known as Bangkok's central park.
